VBA takes action on unsafe pool
In October 2014, the Victorian Building Authority rose to act on information regarding an unsafe pool where a family with young chidlren were living on the property. Upon inspection, the building surveyor issued an emergency order that required making the pool safe – which the homeowner promptly complied wit and immediately installed a temporoary barrier.
In doing so, the VBA demonstrates its commitment to taking direct and immediate action on safety matters that relate to unsafe building work.
